Complete the Order of Operations for Fractions Worksheet.
Be sure to leave the answer as a Mixed fraction in lowest terms.
Eg. 12/5 should be reduced to 2 2/5

You will have a short entrance quiz on this on Monday.

Math For Friday September 20th

Complete the Basic Operations booklet (every second column)

Be prepared to write an entrance quiz on Basic Operations:
Adding, Subtracting, Multiplying and Dividing

You will also be asked to solve these operations for intergers
(Positive and negative numbers)
Remember the rule for Multiplying and Dividing Intergers
(not for Adding and Subtracting though)

If the Signs are the same, the answer is positive
If the Signs are different, the answer is negative.

Complete the handout on Multiplying and Division for homework.
Remember to do the even numbered questions for the Multiplication,
and the odd numbered questions for the Division.

If you wish, you can try the Big Seven method for the Division.

Today in class you were given two Sudokus. If you completed
one you have no homework. If you did not complete one of them
it is due for Friday.

Your Math puzzle is also due for Friday. Be sure to have
two copies. One to give to another student, and one
(with your explained solution to hand in to me.)

For Friday Sept. 13th. Find and master a Math Puzzle.
Present it in class. Be able to explain how it is solved.
Try to keep it at the level of your classmates.
If it requires a printout, please make two copies.
One with your explanation (to hand in), and one to give to a partner.
